Ballet Folklorico Y Marimba De Fresno

Our History

Ballet Folklorico y Marimba de Fresno (BFMF) is a non-profit organization that was started about 50 years ago by members of the local Fresno Community. Our goal is to promote and provide opportunities to youth of all nationalities to participate in the performing arts of Mexican Folklore and Marimba Music, as well as provide a social outlet for BFMF members and assist in furthering their cultural education and acceptance of others. Throughout the year we perform throughout the central valley and donate many of our performances to other local and national non-profits. The band and dance members give 100% at every performance and as parents we like to make sure that we can give 100% to our group.

During the year we incur many expenses, including the cost of sound equipment, fixing and replacing instruments, and purchasing costumes and props.  Our goal is to continue providing families with Folkloric Dance instruction and Marimba Band instruction.  We humbly ask that you consider donating to BFMF.
